I have a few hundred users on analog phones. We are currently using
the CarrierAccess ADIT 600 (now Turin Networks after the acquisition). We
have also used the AdTran IAD Total Access 924. The two products provide a
VoIP interface for analog phones. You hook up the analog phone and the
ADIT/IAD provides dial tone and access to a few features via the hook on
the analog phone.

I am wondering if anybody on this list has used such devices with
Freeswitch, what their experience has been, and what kinds of gotchas I
should watch out for.

Are these analog to digital multiplexers? Like turn 24/30 analog into 1 t1/e1?
I think only a few people have used them but they should more or less look like fxs to FS/OpenZAP

They should be FXS to SIP from what I can see on the net. I guess the simplest answer to Wellie question is to power a couple up and try them out.
