You have to use TCP for transport and you need to define the host and port address in your peer config and then secure it with ACL.

Thanks, Ish. That's a little inconvenient. Does Lync not support standard UDP?
I have two boxes that need to talk to Lync. One is Asterisk 11, which should
pose no problem with TCP, but the other is a legacy Asterisk 1.2 box, which
is UDP only, I believe.

Would it not be possible to setup another more recent version of Asterisk to act as a proxy between these boxes?
