Hi Mark,
you can use Asterisk with a PRI card. Just set channels signaling to
pri_net in zapata.conf.

Hello All,

Does anyone know of a software emulator that can be used to simulate
hardware such as an E1? I need to play with AstUnicall in a test
environment and don?t have access to these circuits from the US.

If there is an alternate way to test/play with AstUnicall, please let
me know!

Thanks,

Mark__

The way I see it, the most tricy thing to emulate would be the MFC/R2
provider itself. There seem to be a number of varitons there.

FYI, the US does not use E1. The T1 PRI or E&M is pretty much cut and
paste. Only really funky thing I have seen is global crossing sending
*ani*dnis* over a PRI but that had nothing to do with the physical
layer.

Thanks,
