Then I noticed how all the asterisk files/directorys had been 777'ed.

Ouch - I think I'll pass as well.

Hey Steve,

I am not involved with this product. I just questioned what tenuous
legal grasp you felt you had with the layout being exclusive to your own
company. Just because you don't like my question don't hold me
responsible for the discussion.

As for me using this list for commercial purposes - this conversation
has been asked and answered many times. An initial email to this list
for a commercial product launch is fine - but the majority of
discussions should be held on the ast-biz list.

No pitch here. It is you making the sales pitch.

This is the "Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion"
list which you and Dean repeatedly use for commercial purposes.

To get back on track, this is a little more complicated to get working
on other distros than I previously thought.

I am able to get the GUI to a page that says "Upgrade Druid" but it
always fails with "Upgrade database failed for version 1.0.0-1. I
cannot find anything in any logs as to why.

I am still playing with postgres and trying to see what scripts in the
RPMs setup the DB and populate it. So far
druid-psql-2.0.0.3.noarch.rpm and
druid-release-5-1.0.el5.centos.1.i386.rpm is all I have been able to
find. One just creates the DB and the other inserts the CDR table
into the asterisk DB.

Thanks,
Steve Totaro

Sure no problem. I have no problem with that.

Steve do you want to continue of the pitch?

I never claimed anything of the sort. Please work on comprehension.
Senad of www.bicomsystems.com did.

Thanks,

I'm *pretty* sure, Steve, that Senad was aiming for "off the pitch", as
in "cricket pitch" -- that is "off-field", or, in the final extension
of this overly tortured metaphor (Smile, off the list.

Cheers,

I've been using Druid since their V since their V.3.2.5, and I have to say I
love it. I haven't done a lot of advanced things with it though, but I know
that their new version has almost all of it. Upgrade is not an option, a new
license is, which is why I'm still with V325.

Either way, Druid is the best GUI out there. As long as you don't mess with
internal codes, you'll be fine.

Apologies for being offtopic guys, but Senad, the outcall software you guys
made is awesome. I only wish you could 'pick' phone numbers from emails and
make it like a hyperlink so I can click it to make the call. Wink

Mark.

It is the same whether you are using trixbox, switchbox, pbxware or any
other system roughly. You have to use their system. Sometimes, this is
the only way to make sure everything they support is installed and
integrated properly without problems.

Hi Joshua,

PBXware has tarball delivery method allowing you to use whatever Linux
distro you choose. This was actually its very first delivery method
before CD, appliance of VPSes.
