Hi,

Please see bug report http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=12547

How should I read Russel's response? What should my expectation be when
I buy a B410P and have an issue? It seems (please correct me if I'm
wrong) that since the problem apparently is related to the mISDN kernel
drivers that Digium won't help you. Yet Digium sells you the card and
has the mISDN drivers on their website. No flames or offense intended.
Just trying to understand where I stand as a potential buyer of B410P
cards.

Thanks,
Patrick

We do not maintain the mISDN kernel drivers, or chan_misdn, for the most part.
However, we are _very_ close to having full EuroBRI support in DAHDI (zaptel),
as well as chan_dahdi (chan_zap). At that point, Digium will be supporting and
developing every aspect of the setup.

Thank you for your feedback Russel. I wasn't aware that zaptel/dadhi
would get full EuroBRI support. Excellent news. Will EuroBRI support be
available in 1.4 too or only in 1.6? Is there a place where I can track
the development? Looking at my dusty 1x BRI HFC-S card, will this be
generic HFC-S BRI support or B410P specific?

Thanks,
Patrick

Part of the problem is that you pursued the wrong avenue of support for
that card. Bugs.digium.com is non-committal, volunteer-esque support,
primarily for Asterisk/Open Source (non hardware related) software. For
card support, you need to go through Digium Technical Support for help
with your issue.

Matthew,

I'm not the person who submitted the problem but am aware of the proper
avenue. I was just wondering about the support status of the mISDN
drivers & chan_misdn in combination with a B410P. Russel's response
answered my question.

Regards,
Patrick
