Or should I calculate it with the help of mod_socket? I mean when application received call pickup event, it calculates something like,
new total time for call = (call pick up time + session start) + total time for call
and execute the sched_hangup with the new value.

I tried sched_hangup, its working fine. But its working with session. I mean to say, it hangs the call no matter if anybody picks the call up or not, if its time out the call is gonna be hanged. My intention is to start the timer once the call is picked up. So, in my case it would be merely talk time, not the session time. Do we have any other parameter for this?
Thanks.

you use the variable execute_on_answer to cause the sched_hangup to be executed the instant the channel is answered.
