Hello,

I am using a SNOM 320 and Windows Mobile 6 VoIP softphone on two separate extensions. When dialing from the SNOM to the WM6 device I get ringback on the SNOM but when calling the SNOM from the WM6 device I don’t get ringback though the call does complete and I get voice after the connection.

Any ideas?

Maxim.

If the device doesn't support 183 early media you may not hear the ringback.
The example dialplan uses generated ringback tones.

you could edit the default extension and comment out the lines that set the ringback variable
and put in one that says "ring_ready" that would send a 180.

most devices who implement sip have no idea what they have gotten themselves into and only end up
implementing their one test case and not all the possible nightmares that result from trying to "interop"

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the suggestion. In which config file do I change the ringback variable and what should the exact syntax be?
