Hi,


I'm finding that when I record a caller's voice using mod_shout in MP3 format, the recording is too soft when I play it back.
I see there's a "volume" setting in shout.conf.xml, but it says, "Dont change these unless you are insane".
When I insanely try to increase this value, I don't here any difference in volume.
Is this the right knob, or is there some other way to do this?

Thanks for the reply.
It was initially set to .1.
So I first tried 1, and then 5.
Then, after a few beers to further impair my judgement, I raised it to 10.
None of these had any effect.

Hmmm... in the libmpg123 docs it says that vol is a double. Try doing smaller values like .01 and see if you can affect the volume that way.
