Today Freeswitch restarted the profiles, and I don't know why.

And since FS couldn't start the default profile again, everything stopped working. Anyone knows why this happened?

did your IP change on your nic?
We have code in there to detect an IP change and restart the profile.

The box have two NICs with one static ip each.

The only 2 things that can trigger that is the FSAPI command: [sofia profile restart all]
or if a TRAP event was fired in FS with condition network-address-change

The latter is done by endlessly scanning for the main ip on the box both v4 and v6
if either changes it triggers the event.

Does this happen constantly or just once?

It have happened once on that server, and once on another one which uses DHCP (but the IP have not changed since I installed the server).

Their might be cases this is suboptimal but have you seen such a case
yet? If we don't bounce then the profiles won't work if the ip is
yanks out from under it.

Well. My case is that the IPs have not changed, and still FS tried to restart the profiles (and failed, which rendered the system useless).
My servers will not change IPs, but if they do, I know about it and can restart the profiles manually.

I got two dedicated FS servers and it have happened once on each server.
One server got two static ips (two nics) and one with dhcp (only one nic, the ip have never been changed).

I have no clue to why FS tried to restart the profiles, and I really do not want it to happen again.
Turning of the feature would be excellent for me.

Hrm I misread that... maybe you can whip up a patch for this in
mod_sofia to ignore the SWITCH_EVENT_TRAP that indicates a network
address change?
