Hi,

Weird situation.

I am now running my office phone through freeswitch. It works great!

Most of the companies that I call have an IVR that requires a
keypress: "for sales press 1, for support press 2, etc."

With most of these calls, my key presses pass the DTMF through
perfectly.

The odd part is that some of the place I call, my DTMF presses have no
effect. I can hear the "tone", but the receiving party does not seem
to catch it. I tried repeating the call from a landline and it DID
receive my DTMF. This appears to indicate that the way I'm passing
through DTMF works for MOST carriers/receivers, but not for all.

Is there something I can set in the config to ensure that the DTMF
will pass through correctly in all circumstances?

Thanks,

-Noah

It is possible you have some providers who do not support rfc2833
which is the default. You would need to look at the sdp's exchanged
to know for sure.

Mike,

How do I do this? (Look at the sdp?) I know how to use ngrep for SIP
traffic, but not sure where to go from here?

If you want to see the problem yourself, call Grandstream: (626)
638-9172 and try to navigate their IVR..

Thanks,

-N
