FreeSWITCH's dialplan to play an announcement?

It depends on exactly what your scenario is. However I’ve had good success using the “hangup_cause” channel variable. From some of my XMLCDRs I have values like these:

<hangup_cause>UNALLOCATED_NUMBER</hangup_cause>
<hangup_cause>NORMAL_CLEARING</hangup_cause>
<hangup_cause>DESTINATION_OUT_OF_ORDER</hangup_cause>
