I'm pretty new at this, but please let me ask you a question: Is your FreeSwitch running on a dual-homed host?

did you specify the "async" keyword to the socket app in your dialplan?

| I'm currently playing around with ESL myself. By default events are not sent to the application. You should enable this by with for example the "myevents" command.
