Tried that, but the output of a simple <action application="eval" data="hello" /> does not appear in my console.
I verified that the context that the eval is in gets executed.
I have the loglevel set to "debug" in my switch.conf.xml by the way.
Any help?

Figured that out by myself. One has to raise the console debug output to "debug".
