|
|
Hi list,
I've just compiled and installed Asterisk 1.4.16 and when I try to run "zap
show" I get the message "*No such command 'zap show'*".
I have a Sangoma Remora A400D with 2 FXS / 10 FXO ports, I've installed the
latest wanpipe too.
zaptel-1.4.7.1 was compiled from the wanpipe installation, so I don't know
what's happening here!!!
Any ideas???
Thanks in advance!!

Either you have not loaded chan_zap in modules.conf (but in this case
you would have probably known about it) or it has failed to load.
In the latter case you should see some messages from it about some
channels it has failed to use.
What is the output of:
cat /proc/zaptel/*

This usually happens when chan_zap.so won't load. The number one cause
for this is a zapata.conf configuration problem. Here's a quick
run-down on things to check:
1) Stop Asterisk
2) Run 'cat /proc/zaptel/*' and make sure the spans are in the order you
want them in
3) Run 'ztcfg -vvv' and make sure the channel numbers and signaling look
good.
4) Once you've got the zaptel side working, then go into zapata.conf and
make sure the channel numbers and signaling are correct.
5) Start Asterisk
6) If you still have no zap commands, turn up the debug and verbosity
levels and then unload and reload the module:
CLI> core set verbose 9
CLI> core set debug 9
CLI> module unload chan_zap.so
CLI> module load chan_zap.so
Give that a whirl and let me know if that helps at all...

Maybe it was all compiled out of order.
I believe that Zaptel has to be compiled AND installed before compiling asterisk to compile the zap channel.

Well, problem solved, I've just recompiled Asterisk and now the "zap" command is working fine. Again, thank you all for your responses...
