|

Hi,
I have configured a certified asterisk 13 server with chan_mobile and
res_pjsip. I have a Cisco 7940 hardphone and I use ekiga as softphone
client.
Now the problem is, using the hardphone I'm able to call the softphone
and hear everything properly. But when I call from the hardphone to some
number that has to be dialed via chan_mobile, I'm not able to hear what
the other side says (I get some noise). Though whatever I say on the SIP
phone is audible on the other side.
Now when I use ekiga with the *same* codec (ulaw/alaw), I'm able to hear
both directions via chan_mobile very clearly. I'm not sure where the
issue is. Can someone help me fixing this?
Here's the packet dump: https://nileshgr.com/asterisk.pcap
And here are the asterisk logs on console:
https://gist.github.com/anonymous/87ef13482fe00148f5bf
172.16.0.5 is the SIP phone (cisco 7940)
172.16.0.8 is the windows laptop running ekiga.
I tried this with another hardphone (Cortelco 2747) and it has the same
problem!
The fact that the whole setup works when using softphone indicates that
there's nothing wrong with the bluetooth stack or the SIP configuration.
If you see the packet dump you'll find that the codecs are same as well.

Nilesh
