When I try to make zaptel 1.4.8, I receive the following error:

scripts/Makefile.build:46: *** CFLAGS was changed in
"/usr/src/zaptel-1.4.8/Makefile". Fix it to use EXTRA_CFLAGS. Stop.

This is on a debian 4.0 machine running linux kernel 2.6.24.2. (gcc 4.1.2).

TIA for any help in resolving this.
