Hi Folks,

Do you by any chance know if the Digium Lumenvox Starter Kit (store.digium.com/productview.php?product_code=8ASTLUMSTART) works with Freeswitch?

Apparently i'm not clever enough to find out where to buy a license (or even register as customer) directly from the Lumenvox site.

Thanks,
Klaus.

Yes it will work. I would also recommend looking at PocketSphinx.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your reply. I found the following performance result on the Sphinx website: for a vocabulary of 5000 words, the word error rate is 7.3 %. Which is excellent for my purpose. My question is, does it apply to PocketSphinx as well?

I raise this question because the Freeswitch wiki says PocketSphinx is great for smaller grammars without really saying what smaller grammar means.

Also do i need to train the recognizer?

best regards,
Klaus.

Should be similar.

5000 words is rather large. Even for lumenvox. You do know
Lumenvox started its life as Sphinx2 Wink

No but its english only.

For the Record:

I installed Flite and PocketSphinx. They all work great. I went through the pizza example with my poor microphone and had no problem.

The Flite and pocketSphinx installation are significantly easier than installing cepstral or lumenvox.

I'm now interested in performance data for PocketSphinx. Any input would be more than welcome.

Cheers,

Klaus.

I would be very interested in seeing performance results as well.
Could you lab some up and post them here?

Mike
