Kevin,
In terms of ease, what is actually stored on the card, is it possible to simply place the card in a cf reader connected to a usb port on a linux box, tar up the contents and untar the contents on a larger cf card? Or is this something that would require a dd?
Greg
p.s. Sorry to put you over the coals... you can punch jarron b. for that one ;P

Yea, sounds like they've planned for this issue. Kevin, is there an sdk that can be used to create our own binaries should we want to add modular support for something? Like say mysql cdr's?

any problems occur.

That's all fair enough then. I was just concerned with the message that was being sent along with the "replacing the CF card is unsupported"
message.

That's news to me as well as the rest of the sales team. We were told that users cannot change the 1gb flash card.
I just spoke with one of the Sales Engineers and he stated that it is apparently possible to change out the flash card on the AA50. However, it is not supported because the read/write speeds could be different on a new flash card, and thus not work.

I just wonder why you don't state the speed of bundled CF, so that
users can replace it with matching or higher speed card. AFAIK SanDisk
is the fastest, especially Extreme III or IV lines - so you can get
16GB 20MB/s CF or 8GB 40MB/s cards (as stated by manufacturer), and
those are Megabytes per second - so the speed should be enough for 50
users..

Atis

It is not possible to do so. However, the 1gb Flash card on the appliance will store up to 3000 minutes worth of voicemail.
|
This is correct as well; the Linux kernel on the AA50 does not have NFS
support nor SMB support, and there are no userspace tools present to
handle NFS or SMB mounting of filesystems.

Yes, using tar/untar would work fine.
